Pien Studios makes this coaster by hand in the Netherlands, stringing wooden beads onto an elastic cord. The high-gloss black lacquer protects the wood from stains and keeps its surface clean-looking through everyday use. Its medium size works just as well under a teapot as under a hot pan or a serving dish.

Made in the Netherlands.
