Pien Studios makes these coasters by hand in the Netherlands. Wooden beads coated in black lacquer are strung on an elastic cord to form a round, flexible disc. Their high-shine surface softly reflects the light. The lacquer withstands the heat of hot cups and protects the wood from everyday stains.
