Loden takes its name from a wool cloth born in the Alpine valleys, where it was first worn for outdoor work. RIER follows that tradition: the wool is felted then brushed, a process that tightens the fibres and creates a compact surface able to shed light rain and slow the wind. The unlined construction and soft shoulders let the cloth fall freely, while the back split and pleat free up the stride. Contrast borders and a concealed button placket give the coat a quiet look, faithful to the Austrian mountain garment.
