Patagonia designed the Fitz Roy Down Hoody for single-day alpine climbs in deep cold, when you move fast with little gear. The RDS-certified down fill gives plenty of warmth for its weight. The recycled nylon ripstop stays light and durable. The hood fits over a helmet, the two-way zip keeps the belay loop within reach, and the jacket stuffs into its own pocket. It is an insulating layer built for the mountains.
