The ThermalShell is the warmest piece in the WISE catalogue. Rather than insulating the jacket evenly, the brand maps the body's heat-loss zones and places different fabrics on each one: the densest merino wool covers the chest and shoulders, while the sides switch to a tight weave that ventilates and blocks the wind. The hollow fibres of merino absorb moisture that the body then warms, so the thermal barrier keeps working even when the jacket is damp. The two large front pockets swallow a headlamp, gloves and a beanie, a real comfort during passive phases, whether bivouacking or resting in a refuge.
