Built entirely from Pertex® Shield Air, this cap harnesses an electrospun nanofibre membrane whose network of microscopic pores creates a barrier against water while allowing air and vapour to circulate. The three-layer Japanese nano-ripstop resists tearing and adapts to varying intensity and terrain. At just 27 g with high compressibility, it stows easily in a pocket when conditions improve.

Product technology

Pertex® Shield Air 3-layer: Japanese-developed nano-ripstop. Its electrospun membrane forms an open network of nanofibres with microscopic pores, impermeable to liquid water (14,000 mm hydrostatic head) while delivering 20,000 g/m²/24h breathability (MVTR). Tear-resistant, lightweight and stretchable, it adapts to effort intensity and terrain without losing shape.
PFC-free DWR treatment: durable water repellency with an environmentally conscious approach.
Seam-taped construction: sealed seams preventing any water infiltration at fabric junctions.
