The cuddly toys are entirely handmade in a fair trade workshop in Bolivia, which offers good working conditions and a fair income to women who cannot read or write. This solidarity-based economy helps to improve living conditions for families and ensure that children can go to school.
The cuddly toys are made from pure Baby Alpaca wool, a renewable, highly ecological natural fiber. They are stuffed with fibers from recycled plastic bottles. The wool comes from a spinning mill in the Bolivian Andes, sourced from small breeders. As far as possible, they use the natural alpaca colors of white, black, shades of gray and brown. All other colors are produced using eco-friendly, non-toxic dyes.
