Suede is the underside of leather, sanded to achieve a soft and supple texture. It comes from farms located in Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without hazardous or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations while adopting a rational use of water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free (chemical compounds) water-repellent oils to protect the sneakers against light rain.
